Sharpening the Gaze at Otok!

In a five-day young critics workshop, a staple at the Kino Otok festival, a group of participants above the age of 16 will watch films, discuss them, and write short reviews. These will be posted on the festival website and e-kino.si, while a ‘best of’ selection will be published in KINO! Magazine. Run by Maja Krajnc, editor-in-chief of KINO! Magazine and head of the film education programme for students at Slovenian Cinematheque, and her assistant Kristian Božak Kavčič. Organised by the Kino! Society for Expanding Film Culture and Otok.  

The fee for the workshop is €25. All participants get a festival pass, which includes all screenings, and a guaranteed spot in the festival campsite. More information and registration (by 27 May): ostrenje.pogleda@e-kino.si.
